The GMC Hummer EV has a range of 526 kilometers

GMC recently announced that the first edition of its all-new all-electric GMC Hummer EV truck will have a range of 329 miles, or 526 kilometers. That's an impressive range for GMC's all-new performance electric truck unveiled over a year ago. That said, GMC assures us that this is just the beginning.

The first deliveries of the GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 will begin in December. These models are powered by a 200 kWh battery that powers a 1,000 horsepower engine and three electric motors. According to GMC, the Hummer EV can hit 60 mph in just over 3.0 seconds and will be able to tow 7,500 lbs.

That said, that's for Edition 1. There will be several versions of the GMC Hummer EV offered on the market with different power levels and different batteries. However, GMC said last week that the larger 200 kWh battery will be available in other versions and could easily exceed 600 kilometers of range. It is also very likely that the GMC Hummer EV will offer more towing capacity in other versions when a capacity of over 11,000 lbs has already been mentioned.
