Comparing The 2021 GMC Terrain Advanced Safety Features And Availability

As GM Authority covered last week, GMC is in the process of transitioning its various technical safety features to new packages called GMC Pro Safety and GMC Pro Safety Plus. The new packages are more than just 'rebranding' efforts, they also include new content and changes. The 2021 GMC Terrain will be among the first vehicles to benefit from these new sets of safety technologies, as shown in the following GM authorities comparison.
As GM Authority previously mentioned, the 2021 GMC Terrain will be one of the 2021 model year vehicles to offer the new GMC Pro Safety Package and GMC Pro Safety Plus Package, as will the new GMC Acadia, GMC Yukon. and GMC Yukon XL. That said, the GMC Sierra 1500, GMC Sierra HD, GMC Canyon and GMC Savana do not offer any of the new safety packs, although the long-term plan is likely to replace and rename the safety offerings of the 'entire GMC range in favor. of the two new packages detailed here.

As we can see, the list of safety technology features is undergoing a slight change in terms of availability between the old packages and the new GMC Pro Safety packages. Notable highlights include the addition of standard adaptive cruise control with the 2021 GMC Terrain Denali, and the removal of Automatic Park Assist and HD Surround Vision for the same model.
